A Famous Fourth!

Challenge #6: What makes Famous Dave’s All-American barbeque the perfect way to celebrate our country this 4th of July season?

july-fourth-bbqThe Fourth of July is a celebration of greatness.  America is a great nation, first, because of its glorious history.  The colonial underdogs overcame extraordinary circumstances to eventually become a world-wide leader in both humanitarian and technological endeavors.  Famous Dave’s humble beginnings are a testament to the American spirit.  Dave Anderson, himself, overcame two bankruptcies, as well as his own personal demons, to become the founder of one of the “Hottest Concepts in America”.  Persistence and perseverence define America and Famous Dave’s.  They should be celebrated together.

Another reason America is a great nation is its rich diversity.  My youth group is a microcosm of this greatness.  Every week, I have the privilege of standing before no less than six distinct ethnic groups.  I think of it as a cultural buffet.  As they say, variety is the spice of life.  People have asked me if I think I might get sick of Famous Dave’s if I won free food for a year.  Not with a menu that gives you so many choices!  The BBQ is a cross country trip in itself.  One visit may take me to Texas for melt-in-your-mouth brisket, the next one sends me to the deep south for some scrumptious chopped pork.  Add one of five different sauces to give your travels a different feel.  Then you can mix it up with an array of incredible sides or go after one of the best burgers you’ll ever eat, the Ultimate BBQ Burger.  You’ve got catfish, chicken tenders, smoked salmon, onion strings, chicken wings, nachos … we don’t have the time.  About the only thing more diverse than a Famous Dave’s menu is … America itself!

You see, it only makes sense.  Glorious history.  Rich diversity.  There’s no better way to celebrate the Fourth of July than with Famous Dave’s!
